Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Title Travel RN - Medical/Surgical (Oncology) Location Wichita, Kansas Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a focus in Oncology and General Surgery
- Administer chemotherapy in accordance with unit policy (chemo-certified nurses only)
- Monitor and document vital signs per unit protocol, including every 4 hours for remote telemetry patients
- Function within a primary nursing care model, collaborating with charge nurses, care team members, and support staff
- Utilize electronic communication tools and EMR systems to coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 while delivering high-quality, safe patient care
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital acute care Oncology RN experience
- Current BLS certification
- Chemotherapy certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Experience with Meditech or CPN electronic medical records
- Join a highly collaborative, team-oriented Oncology/Med-Surg unit recognized for its strong charge nurse leadership, magnet facility designation, and nurse-driven approach to care delivery
- Work in a dynamic unit that also serves as a remote telemetry floor, offering diverse clinical exposure alongside a supportive and positive team culture
