Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in the state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS certification required ACLS certification required Must-Have: - BLS certification from a recognized body - ACLS certification from a recognized body Description: The competent nurse practices independently in a clinical setting. Provides routine and complex care while demonstrating awareness of relevant aspects of each situation. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies in clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation. Meets expectations of applicable competencies. Consistent with professional nursing standards, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of treatments prescribed. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, or caregivers.
