MANUFACTURING OPERATOR

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Manufacturing Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, assembling, and inspecting high-density server racks, network cabinets, and data center enclosures. You will work with sheet metal frames, mechanical fasteners, cable management hardware, and integrated power distribution units (PDUs). The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, exhibits experience mechanical aptitude, and holds high standards for quality and structural integrity.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Assembly & Integration

• Frame & Cabinet Assembly: Assemble cold-rolled steel server rack frames, side panels, mesh doors, top fans, and mounting rails using hand, pneumatic, and torque-controlled tools.

• Hardware Installation: Install cage nuts, sliding rails, cable trays, grounding straps, locking mechanisms, and castors/leveling feet according to engineering schematics and bill of materials (BOM).

• Basic Electrical Integration: Route cables cleanly, mount Power Distribution Units (PDUs), install busbars, and hook up cabinet cooling fan assemblies following ESD-safe procedures.

• Tolerance & Alignment: Ensure squareness, structural rigidity, and proper door latch alignment on all finished server cabinets to meet strict data center dimensional standards.

Quality Control & Testing

• In-Process Inspection: Conduct visual and physical inspections to detect sheet metal defects, powder-coat finish scratches, missing hardware, or improper door hinge fitment.

• Basic Continuity Testing: Perform ground-bond checks and basic electrical continuity testing on integrated rack power components using basic test fixtures.

Safety, Equipment & Workplace

• Tool & Station Maintenance: Maintain assembly station, keep power/pneumatic tools calibrated, and organize fasteners and hardware bins using 5S lean manufacturing principles.
