Documentation & Communication: Accurately monitor and record patient conditions, and effectively communicate any changes to the healthcare team. Quality & Outcomes: Evaluate respiratory practice, medication administration, and treatment effectiveness based on defined patient outcomes. Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to all emergency resuscitation team code calls. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Respiratory Care Practitioner: Credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date. New graduates must have receipt of payment for application to Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) upon hire. Respiratory Therapist: Credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred. New grads must have proof of passing entry level exam, Cert Radiologic Technologist. Proof can include passing scores, cert from NBRC or letter from NBRC stating passing of exam. Education High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. What additional preferences we’re seeking 1 year work experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist strongly preferred. NICU experience.
