Seasonal Immunizing Pharmacist Part Time

The Staff Pharmacist plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy, acting as a role model, demonstrating genuine care and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. Responsibilities Live our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices. Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts, strengthening pharmacy performance measures through coaching and consistent follow‑up of team members. Assume the Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist‑on‑duty. Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and ensuring the team follows safety guardrails at every workstation. Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, and coach the team to demonstrate compassionate care, collaborate with the patient’s total healthcare team, and resolve insurance and medication issues. Proactively offer and deliver immunizations to keep patients healthy; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn immunization. Support effective management of pharmacy inventory by following all inventory best practices, with special focus on protecting cold chain products. Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalte issues or concerns for timely resolution. Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, contribute to a safe and inclusive team dynamic, and write the pharmacy schedule as directed. Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills as the industry evolves; actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge. Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist‑delivered clinical care (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible; empower the team to provide holistic care at every step. Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; comply with CVS Health policies and procedures to support patient safety and controlled substance record‑keeping. Essential Functions Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Complete required training within the designated timeframe. Attention and focus: concentrate on tasks over time, pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs. Customer service and team orientation: look for ways to help people in a friendly manner, notice and respond to patient reactions appropriately. Communication skills: use verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues; use active listening without interrupting. Mathematical reasoning: solve problems such as determining tablet counts, dosage days, and additional bottle requirements. Issue resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action when faced with multiple options. Physical demands: mobile, upright for extended periods, lift, scan, and bag items, reach overhead, use fingers for tasks, perform visual inspections, lift items up to 20 lbs. on occasion, and listen and communicate accurately. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list. Preferred Qualifications 1‑2 years of related experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting. Willingness to work in other locations across the market as business needs require. Compensation Part‑time position: approximately 20 hours per week. Pay range: $60.00–$76.00 per hour; actual salary depends on experience, education, geography and other factors.
