Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Panel Builder responsible for the assembly and layout of electrical control panels and harnesses based on wiring documents. The ideal candidate will wire panels to match electrical drawings in a neat and orderly fashion, ensuring that all connections are tight and torqued to specifications.
Responsibilities

• Assemble and layout electrical control panels and harnesses according to wiring documents.
• Wire panels to match electrical drawings exactly, maintaining neatness and order.
• Identify all associated parts and assemblies, and utilize various tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, and screwdrivers.
• Use a cordless drill for drilling and tapping holes.
• Read a tape measure and make precise calculations for dimensions.
• Ensure all connections are tight and meet specified torque requirements.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and perform panel upgrades.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in point-to-point wiring, reading wiring diagrams, panel building, and working with wire schematics.
• Experience in panel wiring and electrical engineering.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Capability to build and wire electrical control panels from layouts, schematics, and bills of materials.
• Competence in laying out cabinets and subpanels, drilling, tapping, and assembling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Possession of personal hand tools for wiring such as wire strippers, cutters, crimpers, and screwdrivers (special tools will be provided by the company).

Work Environment
Work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with two 20-minute breaks and a 1-hour lunch break. The work environment is very clean, and there is a month-long training period before independent work begins. Though the position is potentially long-term, it is not guaranteed. The dress code includes jeans, comfortable shoes, and a T-shirt.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
