Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call requirements: 1–2 shifts per week from 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate surgical cases across a range of procedures within the operating room
• Manage all nursing care responsibilities within the OR environment
• Observe the surgical team from a broad perspective to ensure safe and effective workflow
• Assist the surgical team in creating and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for patients undergoing surgery
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience
• Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with da Vinci robotic surgical systems
• Neuro-spine and cranial surgical experience
• Pediatric OR and orthopedic trauma experience
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
