Entry Level Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Lakewood, NJ Type: Contract to Hire Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: Monday-Friday | 9 am till 5 pm

Job Duties:

• Enter and process vendor invoices in the accounting system
• Verify invoice details, including quantities, prices, and payment terms
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and check payments
• Maintain organized records of invoices and payment documentation
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedure

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience
• High school diploma or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (training provided)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
