Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,959–$2,001 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 2x3 Nights Start date: 08/24/2026 Setting: hospital Med Surg unit; travel assignment Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to adults on the Med Surg unit, including post-surgical and general medical patients Monitor vitals, administer medications, manage IVs, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes per unit policy Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, update care plans, and document in the EMR (EPIC) Assist with postoperative care for common diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery) Float to related units as needed and respond to patient deterioration or emergencies Maintain safety, infection control, and pain management standards; ensure accurate nursing notes and patient education Requirements Active New York RN license; Nursys verification showing an active NY license and any additional active RN licenses BLS certification (American Heart Association) 2+ years of Med Surg nursing experience; travel experience required EMR experience with EPIC Must have a valid driver’s license and address matching demographics Local candidates accepted; RTO requests must be included at submission Ability to work in a hospital Med Surg setting and float to other units as needed Benefits and Support Dedicated support from the health system staffing team during the assignment 24/7 recruiter and travel support available Assistance with credentialing and onboarding processes Access to a nationwide travel nursing network to explore additional opportunities
