Assistant Branch ManagerThe Assistant Branch Manager supports the overall success and management of the branch. The Assistant Branch Manager assists with planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling branch activities and functions to achieve revenue goals and objectives while maintaining a strong customer focus, leveraging the brand, and supporting employee development.Duties and responsibilitiesAssist the Branch Manager with operational and financial activities that support branch profitability and performance.Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the organization that reflects the mission and core values of the company.Help establish a team culture among service and installation personnel and support a high standard of customer satisfaction.Consistently administer and reinforce company policies and procedures throughout the branch.Support employee engagement and job satisfaction by providing coaching, feedback, and timely performance input to the Branch Manager.Assist with business forecasts, budgets, and other reports and monitor the timely flow of paperwork necessary to the branch.Assist with inventory control, including knowledge of cost of goods, turn-ratio, ordering, and receiving products.Assist with recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and training branch employees.Review financial and operational information with the Branch Manager to identify trends and prospective problem areas and support timely corrective action.Support the Branch Manager in optimizing branch operations to provide service, complete tasks, and otherwise perform in an efficient manner.Assist in developing new programs and executing established plans to meet and exceed sales goals.Support the execution of sales plans designed to retain and expand the branch's customer base.Partner with the Branch Manager, local management, and personnel to maintain best practices for safety in the field.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. (Oral and written)Ability to self-start, motivate individuals, and work effectively as part of a team toward a common goal.Ability to analyze cost and forecast data to support alignment with the branch's goals and objectives.Ability to build team culture by supporting the recruiting, motivation, and training of staff.Ability to promote and maintain a safe, accident free, and healthy work environment.Demonstrated proficiency with multi-tasking alongside time management skills and the ability to prioritize and plan.Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and attention to detail.Computer proficiency. (Microsoft preferred)Must be able to assist with estimating and processing field change orders with a sense of urgency.Self-motivated to follow through the estimate process from inception to completion.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced service organization, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.Bachelor's degree preferred, and 2 to 4 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Key performance indicators (KPI's)Physical requirements and working conditionsRegularly required to sit, stand, and walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds; noise level is usually moderate.
