As a Security Officer Entry Screening Evening Shift in Hagerstown, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access points, screen people and/or items, and conduct routine patrols to help discourage security-related incidents. This role calls for strong communication, professionalism, and customer service, supported by a caring team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post instructions and established screening protocols.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipment documentation, and/or visitor information to help support authorized entry and orderly operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
