Step into an essential role providing high-quality occupational therapy services to students in a welcoming school environment near Plainfield, NJ. This contract position offers flexibility, with both part-time and full-time availability until December 31, 2026. With a schedule running from 7:50 AM to 3:05 PM and a dedicated one-hour lunch/prep time each day, you'll have ample opportunity to focus on fostering student growth while maintaining work-life balance.

In this position, you'll work primarily with Pre-K, Kindergarten, and first-grade students, making a positive impact during formative years. There is also the chance to support a small group of students at the high school level, offering a varied and rewarding caseload. Scheduling and daily assignments will flex in response to student needs, allowing you to adapt and grow within your role.

Desired Experience and Qualifications

• Current, valid Occupational Therapist license
• School-based occupational therapy experience preferred
• Familiarity with early childhood and elementary-aged students strongly preferred
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, staff, families, and related providers
• Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and following IEP guidelines

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized occupational therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
• Support the development of academic and functional skills for school participation
• Collaborate regularly with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain thorough records of interventions and progress
• Participate in student evaluations, IEP meetings, and other school-based activities
