Work Environment

The role is located onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Edison, NJ, where you will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in a large, open treatment area. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and Identify Patient Needs: Collaborate with patients to establish personalized treatment goals and develop care plans tailored to their specific conditions.
• Patient Management: Efficiently manage and treat 2-3 patients per hour, employing evidence-based practices in orthopedic outpatient care.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, exercise regimens, and patient education, to enhance mobility and promote recovery.
• Non-Surgical Alternatives: Focus on reducing the reliance on prescription medications by advocating for holistic treatment options that align with patients' goals.
• Program Design: Create individualized fitness and wellness plans that incorporate strength training, flexibility exercises, and coordination activities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care and align treatment strategies across disciplines.
• Track Progress: Monitor patient outcomes by analyzing treatment effectiveness and adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize recovery.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of all patient interactions and treatments in our EMR system, such as WebPT, to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic issues, sports injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. We serve athletes and active individuals who seek to regain their physical abilities and maintain a high level of wellness. Your role will be instrumental in helping them achieve their functional goals and enhance their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Proven manual therapy skills with a comprehensive understanding of various treatment modalities.
• Experience using EMR software, specifically WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to develop individualized treatment plans that meet diverse patient needs.
• Experience in a collaborative healthcare setting, emphasizing teamwork and communication.

Compensation and Benefits
