Work Environment

As a physical therapist at our Perth Amboy Rehabilitation Center, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment. The center operates on a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Being onsite allows for immediate collaboration with your colleagues and healthcare specialists on complex cases. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to establish their individual treatment goals and requirements.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate recovery.
• Manage a patient caseload with individual sessions, ensuring personalized attention and maintaining a quality interaction per patient.
• Administer cost-effective therapies aimed at enhancing patients' mobility and range of motion, while minimizing reliance on medications.
• Educate patients about non-surgical alternatives and preventive care strategies to support their rehabilitation journey.
• Incorporate manual therapy techniques and exercise programs, customized to improve strength, flexibility, and balance.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment process, setting achievable milestones for functional improvements.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, providing updates and consultations to enhance overall patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments and therapies provided, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Evaluate patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic mobility issues. Your focus will be on creating an encouraging atmosphere where patients feel supported throughout their rehabilitation. Your knowledge and skills will help build trust with individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds, each with unique rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current active license as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• No recorded disciplinary actions or issues associated with your license.
• Exceptional competency in applying manual therapy techniques and developing effective exercise regimens.
• Proficient use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and care coordination.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly preferred.
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
