The Physical Therapist position is based at our outpatient office located in the vibrant city of Perth Amboy, NJ. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing personalized physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and ensuring clients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Overseeing the delivery of care by Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to established treatment plans.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' physical capabilities, including strength, flexibility, and functional movements, to develop targeted treatment plans.
• Assessing and modifying home environments to facilitate rehabilitation and enhance client independence.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, traction, and other modalities as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop, review, and modify care plans as necessary.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, including OASIS assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Engaging clients and their families in education regarding care plans, therapy techniques, and home exercises for continuous improvement.
• Participating in case conferences and contributing to comprehensive treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
• Keeping abreast of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations to ensure compliance and uphold the highest standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, or chronic illnesses. Our clients range from pediatric to geriatric, with conditions such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative rehabilitation. By focusing on a holistic approach, you will guide patients through their recovery journeys, leveraging your expertise to enhance mobility, function, and overall well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) with current licensure in the state of New Jersey.
• Experience of at least two years in a relevant physical therapy setting, such as outpatient or home care.
• Valid CPR certification and a clean driving record with appropriate automobile insurance.
• Demonstrable commitment to providing patient-centered care and enhancing the overall patient experience.
