Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Developing and directing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability and relieving pain.
• Assessing patients' physical conditions through diagnostic evaluations, including muscle, nerve, and joint function tests.
• Providing therapeutic modalities such as massage and traction to enhance recovery.
• Instructing patients and families on exercises, treatment options, and the use of physical therapy devices to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the therapy plan.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of home environments to offer appropriate recommendations that foster patient independence.
• Documenting patient progress through clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries.
• Supervising and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants in delivering prescribed therapy services.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, collaborating on total treatment plans, and adjusting care approaches based on patient progress.
