Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, you will be responsible for:

• Directing individualized physical therapy treatment plans focused on preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and improving muscle function.
• Supervising physical therapy assistants to ensure the correct implementation of patient care plans.
• Evaluating patients' physical condition using diagnostic and prognostic assessments, including muscle, nerve, joint evaluations, and functional tests.
• Assessing patients' home environments for potential barriers to rehabilitation and providing recommendations to maximize their independence.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and applying physical agents as prescribed by physicians.
• Fitting and recommending prosthetic and orthotic devices to enhance patients' mobility.
• Updating and reviewing care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment approaches.
• Documenting patient progress through clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participating in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient treatment and progress.
• Educating patients and families about physical therapy techniques and device usage, and fostering the active involvement of family members in the therapy process.
• Engaging in regular assessments and revisions of the treatment plan based on the patient's progress and feedback.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.

Preferred Experience
