Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Oakbend, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to assess their physical condition and rehabilitation needs.
• Developing, implementing, and adjusting individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and physician recommendations.
• Utilizing a variety of treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques to enhance functional mobility and overall patient wellbeing.
• Documenting patient progress effectively in our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Providing education and training to patients and their caregivers about exercises and rehabilitation strategies to support continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes, engaging in regular meetings and discussions about treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including:

• Orthopedic patients recovering from surgery or injury, requiring tailored rehabilitation strategies.
• Pediatric clients needing specialized physical therapy approaches for developmental and injury-related challenges.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid DPT license to practice in the state of New Jersey.
• Graduation from a program accredited by APTA or CAPTE.
• A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least two years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in settings that emphasize patient-focused care. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and commitment to continuing education in emerging physical therapy practices will be advantageous.
