Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Perth Amboy, NJ, a vibrant community known for its rich cultural diversity and commitment to health and wellness. As a Physical Therapist, you will work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, in a collaborative and supportive environment designed for patient-centered care. Our clinic is equipped with the latest rehabilitation tools and technologies to support you in delivering exceptional care. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients referred by physicians to develop personalized treatment plans based on their individual needs and goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and utilize appropriate treatment modalities to facilitate recovery and improvement in function.
• Deliver care across various specialties, including but not limited to orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine populations.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and rehabilitation goals to promote active participation in their recovery process.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and response to treatment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and achieve the highest possible patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service, contributing to an atmosphere of support and understanding for patients and their families.
• Meet established productivity goals while focusing on delivering quality care and improved patient experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve come from diverse backgrounds and may present with a variety of conditions requiring tailored rehabilitation strategies. Your focus will include helping orthopedic patients recover after surgeries, empowering pediatric patients with mobility challenges, addressing neurologic conditions to enhance functional independence, and aiding athletes in their recovery to peak performance. Qualifications

• Educational requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
• Strong organizational and computer skills, familiar with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with patients while displaying a genuine interest in their recovery.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Experience with specific patient populations or advanced rehabilitation techniques is highly valued.
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred but not mandatory.
• Current CPR certification is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
