Work Environment

This position requires a physical presence at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Metuchen. The facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and equipment necessary for effective treatment. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients referred by physicians to determine individual rehabilitation needs and establish effective treatment plans.
• Implement and document tailored treatment programs that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality treatments targeted to specific patient conditions.
• Consistently provide thorough progress updates that reflect patient improvements and adapt treatment plans as necessary based on their recovery journey.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to ensure a seamless care experience.
• Engage in continuous learning and collaboration with staff to leverage best practices and improve patient outcomes using evidence-based methodologies.
• Utilize organizational tools and systems to manage patient schedules, documentation, and treatment tracking efficiently.
• Consult with patients and their caregivers regarding home exercises, lifestyle modifications, and preventative measures to foster ongoing recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility caters to a diverse patient population, including individuals with orthopedic, neurological, and sports-related injuries, as well as pediatric needs. This role will involve working with clients from various backgrounds, each requiring customized care plans that accommodate their specific conditions and enhance their overall functional capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy, along with Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential for patient interaction and documentation.
• Ability to use computer systems for patient data management, scheduling, and telehealth consultations.
• Dedication to establishing a rapport with patients to facilitate their achievement of functional goals.
• Desire to create meaningful connections and foster relationships both in the clinic and within the community.

Preferred Experience

• Currently hold a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred.
• Previously worked with a variety of patient demographics and conditions that demonstrate your versatility and adaptability in treatment.
• Current CPR Certification.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary between USD 100,000 and 120,000, commensurate with experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
