Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Directing and administering therapeutic interventions to promote effective rehabilitation and improve patient mobility, as outlined in their individual care plans.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, utilizing diagnostic and prognostic testing methods to inform treatment protocols.
• Overseeing and guiding Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of care, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and best practices.
• Crafting personalized exercise plans that include manual therapy techniques, functional training exercises, and the administration of physical agents such as traction and massage.
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to design, review, and update care plans, ensuring seamless communication throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintaining meticulous records of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, embracing a commitment to compliance and quality documentation.
• Evaluating the home environments of patients receiving care in their homes and providing actionable recommendations to enhance their independence and safety.
• Acting as an advocate for your patients, imparting essential knowledge to them and their families on effective therapy practices and equipment usage.
• Participating in case conferences, sharing insights and updates to ensure holistic treatment approaches that align with our organization's mission.
• Meeting state licensure standards and maintaining an active role in professional development and continuing education to stay current in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus at Encompass Rehabilitation Center centers on diverse populations that require specialized rehabilitation services. You will primarily work with adult and elderly clients contending with various conditions, including post-surgical recovery, orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic illnesses. Your role will be pivotal in guiding these patients through their rehabilitation journeys, utilizing your expertise to foster empowerment and recovery.

Qualifications

Candidates for this position must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution, possess a valid state license, and maintain current CPR certification. Strong candidates will demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset that supports the overall mission of the organization.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in both acute care and home care settings, is recommended. Compensation and Benefits

Encompass Rehabilitation Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
