Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients arriving for therapy to determine their unique capabilities and challenges.
• Develop individualized treatment plans encompassing various therapeutic modalities, including exercise regimens, manual therapy techniques, and utilization of specialized equipment.
• Implement treatment strategies in a way that specifically addresses each patient's injury or condition while monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
• Document and track patient outcomes meticulously, utilizing EMR software such as Web PT to ensure accurate record-keeping and effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to discuss patient progress and participate in case review meetings to refine treatment approaches.
• Provide patient and caregiver education on therapeutic exercises, assistive devices, and overall wellness strategies to promote independence and enhance recovery.
• Attend and engage in educational workshops and professional networking opportunities to maintain knowledge of industry advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will be employed in working with a broad patient demographic, ensuring specialized attention is given to each individual. This includes children recovering from sports injuries, adult patients rehabbing from surgical procedures, and elderly individuals managing chronic pain or mobility issues. Your role is both challenging and rewarding, as you will be directly impacting their recovery journey and fostering their independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, with no sanctions or disciplinary actions against it.
• Exceptional knowledge of manual therapy modalities and demonstrated ability to create successful physical rehabilitation exercise programs.
• Proficient in using EMR systems, particularly Web PT, for comprehensive patient documentation.
• Up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home care settings or facility-based rehabilitation practice is highly advantageous.
• Background in working with diverse patient populations, enhancing your adaptability and communication skills.
• Previous involvement in mentorship or training of new graduates will be considered a strong plus.

Compensation and Benefits
