Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite in our outpatient facility located in Sayreville, NJ. As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting, you will collaborate with a diverse interdisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, and physical therapy assistants. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical needs to establish individualized treatment plans aimed at increasing their mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing daily function.
• Provide evidence-based physical therapy treatments including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Document patient progress meticulously in accordance with regulatory requirements, ensuring all evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries are accurate and timely.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in executing rehabilitation programs while ensuring adherence to established plans of care.
• Engage in continuous education and collaboration with team members during case conferences, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary based on patient response and needs.
• Facilitate patient and family education, guiding them through therapeutic exercises and the correct utilization and maintenance of equipment.
• Participate actively in community outreach programs to promote awareness of physical therapy services and support local health initiatives.
• Assist in evaluating and adapting the clinical facility's equipment and processes to enhance patient care continuity including home exercise programs.
• Stay current with emerging physical therapy research to implement best practices and innovative treatment modalities.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and ethical practices while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient demographic ranging from post-operative orthopedic patients to individuals with chronic pain conditions, sports injuries, and neurological disorders. Your expertise will contribute to improving patients' quality of life by restoring their physical capabilities and promoting independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active and clean Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Ability to utilize EMR software proficiently, particularly Web PT, for accurate documentation.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in the field of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient physical therapy environment is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
