Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our outpatient office in the vibrant community of New Brunswick, NJ. You will work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent schedule that allows for a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients' needs through thorough evaluations to determine their rehabilitation goals and objectives.
• Maintain a patient load of one individual per hour, allowing for focused and personalized treatment during each session.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy and exercise prescription.
• Develop tailored fitness and wellness programs that cater to the specific requirements of each patient, promoting their engagement in their own recovery process.
• Employ effective communication skills to educate patients on their conditions and treatment options, minimizing reliance on medications by advocating for non-surgical interventions.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain accurate documentation within our electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically using WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Encourage a healthy lifestyle among patients through education on exercises that improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with orthopedic patients who require rehabilitation following surgical procedures, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will be pivotal in tailoring treatment protocols that facilitate not only physical recovery but also psychological readiness for daily activities and sports.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• No record of board actions or disciplinary actions on your professional license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of exercise programs.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to enhance patient documentation and communication.
• Strong background in evidence-based practice and outcomes measurement.

Compensation and Benefits
