Key Responsibilities

• Direct and provide comprehensive physical therapy treatments focused on preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function in accordance with established plans of care.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans and continuity of care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic and prognostic assessments, including muscle, nerve, joint, and functional tests.
• Assess clients' home environments to recommend modifications that enhance their independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Deliver in-home physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, adapting treatments to the specific needs of clients.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises and guide clients through various non-manual exercises and functional activities to promote recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily work with a diverse patient population experiencing musculoskeletal issues, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. By providing personalized care tailored to individual recovery goals, you will address both physical and psychosocial challenges, empowering clients to achieve optimal functional independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an orthopedic setting.
• Possession of a current CPR certification to ensure patient safety during care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and exercise prescriptions for diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for effective documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
