Work Environment

Our Woodbridge rehabilitation center features state-of-the-art facilities designed for outpatient orthopedic care. Physical Therapists often work alongside other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, and physicians, to create a holistic healing experience. The typical working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients with a focus on orthopedic conditions, developing individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and improve physical function.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols by utilizing various modalities, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy techniques, adapting approaches based on patient response and progress.
• Conduct timely and accurate documentation of patient care activities, including initial evaluations, treatment plans, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in clear and meaningful communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
• Monitor and document patient outcomes, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary in response to observed changes in patient status.
• Advise and educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, self-management strategies, and injury prevention techniques.
• Participate actively in team meetings, contributing to discussions about best practices, patient care improvement initiatives, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At our Woodbridge facility, we focus primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient population includes individuals of various ages seeking to regain functionality and quality of life. As a Physical Therapist in our center, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating their rehabilitation journeys, working closely with them to set realistic goals and motivate them throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current state licensing to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy settings.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety and preparedness.

Preferred Experience

While two years of outpatient orthopedic experience is required, candidates with advanced certifications, such as manual therapy or sports rehabilitation specialties, will be viewed favorably. Experience in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and familiarity with various rehabilitation equipment will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
