Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, utilizing standardized assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that include a variety of interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on feedback and documented outcomes to optimize rehabilitation efforts.
• Educate patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises, self-management strategies, and the correct use of assistive devices to enhance mobility and independence.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive care plans and share insights related to patient progress and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions, treatment regimens, and progress reports in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to refine skills and stay updated on the latest research and techniques in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve range from children to seniors, presenting with various conditions including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain syndromes, neurological disorders, and sports-related injuries. Each patient's journey is unique, and your expertise will be crucial in guiding them on the path to recovery through effective rehabilitation techniques personalized to their current health status and goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A valid State Physical Therapy License to practice, along with any supplementary certifications as necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to be flexible and agile in adapting to patient and facility needs.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, though new graduates with a DPT seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply.
