Position Overview

Wellness Works Physical Therapy, PC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our team at our Rehabilitation Center located in Metuchen, New Jersey. Work Environment

The rehabilitation center is a dynamic onsite facility offering a wide range of physical therapy services. You will be part of a collaborative team consisting of healthcare professionals from various disciplines, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapy assistants. Our center is equipped with modern therapeutic equipment and technology to support innovative treatment plans tailored to each patient. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, providing a structured schedule conducive to work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized physical therapy treatment plans based on physician prescriptions, ensuring a focus on rehabilitation and improved functionality.
• Evaluate patients' physical abilities through comprehensive assessments, including muscle and joint assessments, to establish baseline metrics and goals for treatment.
• Direct and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants during therapy sessions to ensure that care meets quality standards and adheres to the established plan of care.
• Document and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure a clear continuum of care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding therapy plans, which includes instructing on the usage of therapeutic devices and self-care techniques.
• Encourage patient engagement by using motivational interviewing techniques and setting realistic, achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions and re-evaluate treatment plans as necessary to adapt to their evolving needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, plan care revisions, and develop comprehensive treatment approaches.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and techniques to ensure compliance with state regulations and best practices.
• Complete administrative duties, including prompt submission of documentation and payroll to ensure operational compliance and efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients range from post-operative rehabilitation patients to individuals recovering from sports-related injuries, chronic pain, and neurological conditions. Qualifications

• A valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license in good standing.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred).
• A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in an outpatient rehabilitation or home care setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a patient-first mindset and a collaborative spirit within the healthcare team.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed clinical decisions based on patient assessments.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and familiarity with patient management software.
• Background in specialized rehabilitation techniques, such as sports therapy or geriatrics.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in training and mentoring junior staff and Physical Therapy Assistants.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
