You will work onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, providing hands-on therapy and utilizing modern equipment to cater to a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and direct individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring function based on the latest evidence-based practices.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests to assess patients' muscle, nerve, and joint functionality, determining the need for therapy and formulating appropriate treatment strategies.
• Oversee the activities and care provided by Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes.
• Evaluate and recommend modifications to the home environment to enhance a patient's rehabilitation progress and independence.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and physical agents, such as massage and traction, while educating clients and their families on their therapy programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly, contributing to a comprehensive approach to treatment.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and care plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Provide guidance and support to patients and families regarding conditions and overall therapeutic process.
• Engage in the continuous review and improvement of therapy protocols and patient management practices.
• Stay updated with developments in physical therapy through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve include individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or debilitating conditions that affect their physical mobility. Our clientele ranges from elderly patients needing rehabilitation after falls to younger individuals undergoing post-operative recovery. Your role will involve creating tailored therapy plans that support diverse patient needs, aiming for both functional improvement and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active and unblemished Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise programs.
• Strong organizational skills with proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT.
• Up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy research and methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a rehabilitation center or similar clinical settings is a plus.
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Knowledge of home health care practices and interdisciplinary approaches.

Compensation and Benefits
