Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will undertake a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on alleviating pain, restoring functional mobility, and enhancing physical performance based on each client's unique needs.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities using diagnostic tests and assessments to inform treatment approaches.
• Supervising and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they are effectively executing the prescribed plan of care and that patient outcomes are being met.
• Working closely with clients and their families, educating them about their treatment plans and instructing them on exercises and rehabilitation techniques to encourage independence and adherence to therapy.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, traction, and manual therapy techniques while monitoring patients' responses to therapy and modifying plans as necessary.
• Regularly documenting patient progress in clinical records, including conducting initial evaluations, updating care plans, and preparing discharge summaries to maintain accurate and comprehensive patient files.
• Participating in interdisciplinary meetings to contribute to the evaluation and planning of comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Providing consultations and recommendations regarding equipment such as prosthetics and orthotics, aligning with the physician's directives.
• Conveying changes in patients' conditions to physicians and case managers, facilitating timely adjustments to treatment plans.
• Completing administrative duties including timely documentation and compliance with state regulations related to therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The diverse patient population served at our Carteret facility includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic conditions, and neurological disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding them through their rehabilitation journey, ensuring effective communication with both patients and their families to foster a supportive recovery environment.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred.
• Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of New Jersey, in good standing.
• A minimum of one year of experience working in a physical therapy setting, preferably in outpatient or acute care environments.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient interaction and family involvement in the treatment process.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical excellence, integrity, and professional ethics.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while encouraging a positive culture.

Preferred Experience

While not required, additional experience or training in specialized areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, or post-surgical rehabilitation will be considered advantageous. Skills in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with current rehabilitation technologies are also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
