Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will have a diverse set of tasks focused on promoting patient health. Some of your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing personalized physical therapy treatment plans to mitigate disabilities, relieve pain, restore muscle function, and enhance the client's maximum performance.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to individual care plans, providing guidance and oversight in executing prescribed therapies.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patient function, including diagnostic assessments of muscle, nerve, and joint performance, to establish baseline capabilities and inform treatment.
• Assessing patients' home environments to provide recommendations for modifications that will encourage independence and safety in rehabilitation.
• Delivering physical therapy services as directed by physicians, which may include manual therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and the use of physical agents.
• Participating in the creation and ongoing evaluation of care plans, documenting progress, and communicating with physicians and case managers about patient conditions.
• Advising clients and families on the appropriate use and maintenance of therapy devices while ensuring they are well-informed about the therapy process.
• Staying accessible for questions from Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions and ensuring quality control in care delivery.
• Engaging in professional development activities and remaining informed about industry regulations and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with a diverse patient population comprising individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, and enhancing mobility after injury. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is mandatory.
• A minimum of one year of experience in physical therapy, specifically in acute care or home care settings.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• CPR certification must be kept current throughout employment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
