Active Motion Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in assisting patients on their journey to regain optimal mobility and functionality. Active Motion Physical Therapy Services is a premier orthopedic outpatient clinic located in a state-of-the-art 5,000 square feet facility dedicated to sports medicine and rehabilitation. Our practice primarily serves clients with private medical insurance, allowing us to focus on delivering exceptional and personalized care. We value a collaborative approach within our team of professionals, which currently includes two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA).

Work Environment

Our facility is designed to foster healing and recovery, equipped with the latest technology and rehabilitation tools. The work setting is onsite, which allows for direct interaction with our patients and hands-on treatment. You will enjoy a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing an ideal work-life balance while engaging in meaningful clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Manage a patient caseload of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring each receives undivided attention and quality care.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions, focusing on alternative therapies that minimize reliance on medication and potential surgeries.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise regimens to enhance mobility and promote recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide motivational support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Encourage patients to adopt healthy lifestyle habits that improve strength, flexibility, balance, and overall wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients primarily consist of individuals seeking orthopedic rehabilitation services. The patient demographic includes athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, post-surgical patients, and those experiencing chronic pain issues. Our focus is not only on treatment and rehabilitation but also on empowering our patients with the knowledge and skills necessary for sustainable health improvements.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current New Jersey Physical Therapist licensure, free of disciplinary actions.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience in manual therapy techniques.
• Proficiency in creating and implementing individualized exercise plans tailored to patient-specific conditions.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, for effective patient documentation and management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective interventions that lead to improved patient outcomes.
• Experience working with EMR software to streamline patient care processes.

Compensation and Benefits
