Work Environment

This role is situated in our outpatient office located in Newark, NJ, where you will engage directly with patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines. Our facility is designed to foster a supportive and collaborative environment that prioritizes patient care and professional development. You will work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule while contributing to our goal of delivering exceptional therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough Physical Therapy evaluations for clients, assessing physical capabilities and setting personalized treatment goals.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, progress, and feedback.
• Regularly monitor and reassess patients' clinical signs and symptoms to evaluate treatment efficacy and refine therapeutic goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including SOAP notes, progress summaries, and care plans within our electronic record system.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes, strategies for overcoming challenges, and recovery expectations.
• Meet established minimum utilization goals and contribute to broader departmental objectives.
• Collaborate seamlessly with peers in various disciplines to provide holistic care for clients receiving multiple therapeutic services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will encompass various patient demographics, including children and adults experiencing a range of medical conditions. As a Physical Therapist, you will help individuals facing mobility challenges, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and neurological disorders. Your ability to connect with diverse populations will be vital in fostering trust and compliance, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Current and unrestricted licensure by the Board of Physical Therapy in the state of New Jersey.
• A high level of adaptability and willingness to conduct evaluations and treatment sessions in-person and, when appropriate, via telehealth.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients of all ages, races, and ethnicities.
• A proactive approach and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient physical therapy settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
