We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Hanford Post Physical Therapy & Wellness Center in Newark, New Jersey. Our clinic is well-equipped for sports medicine and rehabilitation, ensuring a comprehensive approach to physical therapy.

Work Environment

The position is onsite, providing a dynamic and collaborative work environment. You will be part of a committed team composed of two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all dedicated to delivering the highest standards of care. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their health objectives and requirements in an orthopedic context.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and the latest advancements in physical therapy.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring effective and timely care delivery.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic modalities, to enhance mobility and alleviate pain.
• Design and lead exercise regimens tailored to each patient's specific needs and capabilities.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously in our electronic medical records system (e.g., WebPT) to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and promote healthier lifestyle choices that include improved strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Regularly assess patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary and maintaining open lines of communication with patients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including athletes, surgical rehabilitation cases, and individuals with chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your commitment to fostering a supportive environment will empower patients at various stages of recovery to achieve their functional goals and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Certification and licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficiency in manually treating various orthopedic conditions using evidence-based practices.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, particularly with a focus on sports medicine.
• In-depth knowledge of developing and executing personalized exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as WebPT or similar platforms.
• Experience in utilizing preventative care strategies and promoting wellness in patients.

Compensation and Benefits
