Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Burke, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments to determine physical capabilities and limitations.
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans based on patient needs in close coordination with the physician and care team.
• Overseeing the administration of therapeutic interventions including manual therapy techniques, modalities, and specific exercise programs.
• Regularly documenting patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure positive outcomes.
• Providing at-home therapy sessions for patients who require home-based rehabilitation services, ensuring continuity of care.
• Educating patients and their families on exercises, devices, and therapeutic strategies to enhance treatment efficacy and self-management.
• Collaborating with colleagues to prioritize patient caseloads and efficiently manage daily staffing needs.
• Participating in continuous professional development and staying updated with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Our patient population includes both pediatric and adult clients, allowing for a diverse range of treatment challenges. Your role will directly impact the recovery journey of individuals whose goals may range from restoring mobility after surgery to enhancing athletic performance following injuries.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or the ability to obtain it within the first 30 days of employment.
• No prior experience is required; we welcome recent graduates eager to learn and grow.
