Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center is designed to foster healing and recovery, featuring advanced treatment rooms and exercise spaces that enhance our therapeutic offerings. You will join a close-knit team comprising two seasoned physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Together, we maintain an environment that encourages collaboration, continuous learning, and shared success in patient care. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a stable and predictable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs and develop individualized care plans focused on achieving optimal recovery outcomes.
• Manage a patient load efficiently, averaging one patient per hour, while ensuring that each session is tailored to address specific rehabilitation goals.
• Implement effective therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities, including exercises and manual therapy techniques, based on a comprehensive understanding of orthopedic conditions.
• Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, effective pain management strategies, and lifestyle modifications to enhance their quality of life.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress and treatment procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to coordinate optimal patient care and outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development through participation in team meetings and training sessions to remain informed about the latest practices in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients who are either recovering from orthopedic surgeries (like joint replacements) or managing chronic musculoskeletal issues (such as arthritis, tendonitis, and sports injuries). Your expertise and empathetic approach will be crucial in guiding these individuals through their rehabilitation journey, helping them return to their daily activities and sports.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A clean record with no disciplinary actions or board actions against your professional license.
• Proven expertise in orthopedic physical therapy, particularly within an outpatient setting.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the formulation of tailored exercise prescriptions.
• Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, is preferred.
• A strong background in developing wellness and fitness programs that align with patients' rehabilitation goals.

Compensation and Benefits
