Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our Rehabilitation Center, located in the heart of Ridgewood, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments to identify physical limitations and develop tailored therapeutic strategies. This will include taking comprehensive patient histories and performing physical exams to gauge mobility.
• Design and implement individualized therapy plans that align with each patient's recovery goals. For instance, you might create plans that involve targeted exercises, stretching routines, and intervals of manual therapy.
• Address a range of conditions, including but not limited to, sports injuries, post-operative recovery, and chronic pain management—all critical to our patient demographic.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to help patients meet their rehabilitation objectives.
• Participate actively in team meetings and collaborative care discussions, contributing your insights to enhance overall patient treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the opportunity to play a critical role in their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they regain strength, mobility, and confidence. This crucial support often extends to educating patients about their conditions and the rehabilitation process, enabling them to take charge of their recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for candidates with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, ideally focused on outpatient orthopedic care.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience with EMR systems, preferably WebPT, are highly desirable.
• Previous work within team environments that emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration will be beneficial.
• Specialized training or certifications in orthopedic rehabilitation or related areas will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
