Work Environment

Located in the heart of Midland Park, our hospital unit promotes a dynamic and engaging workplace. As a PTA, you will work within a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and healthcare professionals, to provide integrated care. The work schedule comprises Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing a consistent routine that supports both team collaboration and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans designed for each patient.
• Guide and motivate patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and functional activities to support their rehabilitation goals.
• Administer therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy to alleviate pain and promote recovery.
• Carefully monitor, document, and report patient progress during treatment sessions, promptly communicating any concerns to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients regarding injury prevention strategies and provide direction on effective home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate proactively with the entire healthcare team to ensure coordinated and streamlined patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily caters to adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions. You will engage with a diverse range of patients, each presenting unique rehabilitation needs. Working closely with your team, you will contribute to tailored treatment plans that address acute and chronic conditions, enabling patients to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
