Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office, where you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, physicians, and administrative staff. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, providing direct patient care that supports recovery and rehabilitation.
• Perform patient evaluations and measure progress towards rehabilitation goals while maintaining accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
• Instruct patients and their families on exercise and rehabilitation techniques to reinforce the therapeutic process and facilitate effective home care.
• Conduct thorough chart reviews, collaborating with Physical Therapists to modify care plans based on patient progress or specific needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge and application of various physical therapy modalities and interventions, ensuring patient safety and effective treatment.
• Engage in continuous communication with patients regarding their treatment and progress, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Identify patient care issues that may affect rehabilitation outcomes, sharing insights with Physical Therapists to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Provide education and training to nursing staff and family members to support the patient's ongoing care post-discharge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Physic Rehab Services LLC, you will primarily engage with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. Your role will involve working closely with patients of varying ages, each requiring tailored therapeutic interventions to promote healing and restore function. You will develop relationships built on trust and support, contributing to their physical and emotional well-being on the journey to recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program, ensuring foundational knowledge in rehabilitation techniques and patient care.
• Valid and active physical therapist assistant license in the state of New Jersey is required.
• Proficient understanding of orthopedic physical therapy, with experience in outpatient settings preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, their families, and your healthcare team.
• Ability to multitask effectively, managing a diverse patient load while maintaining attention to detail in documenting and providing care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic clinic is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
