Key Responsibilities

• Implement therapeutic interventions as outlined in each patient's plan of care as developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Guide patients through exercises and functional activities, ensuring they utilize proper techniques to maximize their rehabilitation.
• Monitor patient safety and progress during treatment sessions, modifying approaches as needed to ensure effective care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, following clinic protocols.
• Communicate any changes in patient conditions or responses to the supervising Physical Therapist promptly.
• Foster a positive and encouraging environment for patients, helping them feel motivated and engaged in their recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletes looking to enhance their performance, and older adults aiming to maintain their active lifestyle. Your contributions will directly influence patient outcomes, facilitating their recovery journey while ensuring they achieve their personal health and wellness goals.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current certification in CPR/BLS.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Strong organizational skills, allowing for efficient task management in a busy outpatient setting.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as WebPT, NetHealth, or Fusion.
• Interest in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports medicine, and active patient care.
• Experience working with post-surgical patients, athletes, or the older adult population.
• Knowledge of manual therapy techniques and performance training beneficial for patient recovery.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for the Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant role is competitive, with a salary range of $85,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include:
