Work Environment

This position is located onsite at a fully equipped hospital facility in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. The clinic's structure supports an environment where collaboration and communication are key. Key Responsibilities

• Implement therapeutic interventions as outlined in the physical therapist's plan of care to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Instruct patients on the appropriate execution of exercises and daily functional activities to facilitate recovery.
• Monitor patient safety, progress, and technique throughout treatment sessions, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with clinical policies and enhancing communication.
• Provide ongoing updates to the supervising Physical Therapist regarding changes in patient conditions or responses to treatment.
• Foster a positive, motivating, and engaging atmosphere for patients, actively encouraging their participation in therapy regardless of age or background.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves a diverse patient population including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletes undergoing rehabilitation, as well as older adults seeking to maintain their mobility and functional independence. As a PTA, you will be integral in designing personalized treatment plans that address the specific rehabilitation needs and recovery goals of each patient.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Jersey.
• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited PTA program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification to ensure the safety of patients and staff during care processes.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to manage patient care effectively and collaborate with team members.
• A genuine passion for enabling others' health through orthopedic rehabilitation and active patient care.
• Ability to thrive in a busy outpatient setting, effectively managing time and multitasking to ensure quality patient experiences.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred, though new graduates passionate about the field are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly platforms like WebPT, NetHealth, or Fusion.
• Experience providing care to post-surgical patients, active aging populations, and athletes in recovery.
• Interest or experience in manual therapy techniques, performance training, and wellness programming.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $85,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
