Work Environment

This position operates onsite in a collaborative and dynamic rehabilitation facility. You will be part of a small but dedicated team consisting of two other physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life while you focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients to create tailored treatment plans that address their unique goals and healthcare needs.
• Maintain a patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring each individual receives comprehensive attention and care.
• Provide evidence-based interventions aimed at optimizing movement potential, mobility, and overall quality of life.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, to address patients' dysfunctions and promote healing.
• Develop and customize fitness and wellness programs that align with patients' health objectives.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey while promoting a healthy lifestyle focused on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Document services provided and maintain clear communication regarding patient progress and changes to care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Core Balance, our patient demographic primarily comprises individuals with private medical insurance. The conditions frequently treated include post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and various orthopedic issues. This role demands a therapist who is empathetic and skilled in addressing the varying needs of each patient, aiming for optimal outcomes through personalized care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Active New Jersey State Physical Therapist license with no board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong foundational knowledge in orthopedic care and rehabilitation techniques.
• Excellent manual therapy skills and experience in designing effective exercise regimens.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is required, we value candidates who demonstrate a proactive approach to patient engagement and show adaptability to various therapeutic techniques. Experience in administering patient assessments and developing care plans is also preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 125,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
