Bon Secours Therapy Center, located in the heart of Paterson, New Jersey, is actively seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a Physical Therapist, you will engage closely with patients to promote mobility and optimize their functional abilities through evidence-based treatment strategies.

Our team is made up of qualified professionals, including two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant, all dedicated to the mission of support and healing.

Work Environment

This position will be performed onsite at our well-appointed rehabilitation center, providing a collaborative and supportive environment for both patients and staff. Your schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance while enabling you to concentrate on your professional development and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals and specific requirements, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage an individualized patient caseload, averaging one patient per hour, to ensure focused and personalized care.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation to deliver effective treatment sessions that enhance range of motion and mobility.
• Reduce patient dependency on medications by implementing alternative therapies and exploring non-surgical treatment options.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress.
• Design and implement customized fitness and wellness programs that promote overall health and recovery.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care while motivating patients to engage fully in their treatment process.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Continuously evaluate treatment outcomes and monitor patient progress through clear and concise documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele at Bon Secours Therapy Center primarily consists of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgery rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. The diverse backgrounds and needs of our patients require a solid understanding of various treatment protocols, particularly pertaining to musculoskeletal health.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, or DPT, is preferred).
• Must hold a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Demonstrate an impeccable professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and expertise in developing and implementing individualized exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to enhance patient care documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to motivate patients and engage them in their recovery journey through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of alternative treatment and pain management strategies that complement traditional physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

Bon Secours Therapy Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
