Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation facility located in Paramus, New Jersey. The center features modern treatment rooms, advanced therapeutic equipment, and an inviting atmosphere designed to optimize patient comfort and recovery. Our hours of operation are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule that supports work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist in our outpatient setting, you will take on the following responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' physical limitations and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at restoring functionality.
• Implement and utilize evidence-based physical therapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive care and facilitate smooth patient transitions across care settings.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation strategies, injury prevention techniques, and home exercise programs to promote ongoing recovery after discharge.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to comply with regulatory standards and ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your caseload will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with a diverse range of clients, adjusting your therapeutic approaches to accommodate varying ability levels and comorbidities, ensuring that each patient receives personalized care that meets their unique needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Current, active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in a similar outpatient orthopedic setting is required, we prefer candidates with at least one year of specialized orthopedic experience. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices, along with proficiency in developing comprehensive treatment programs, will be essential to excel in this role. Excellent communication skills are crucial for fostering patient engagement and education, while the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team is necessary.
