We have a warm and welcoming environment where a team of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), collaborate to deliver personalized care. Our facility boasts 5,000 square feet of space equipped with cutting-edge sports medicine technology, allowing us to cater effectively to our clientele with private medical insurance.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to be present onsite at our rehabilitation center in Paterson, New Jersey. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify medical history, movement patterns, and rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a patient load, typically one patient per hour, ensuring that each treatment session is focused and effective.
• Design and implement personalized treatment programs that employ a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and graded exercise regimens.
• Evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and maintaining detailed documentation to track outcomes.
• Promote health and wellness by teaching patients strategies to enhance their strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering an environment of optimism and support.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems effectively, specifically WebPT, to document patient care accurately.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center primarily serves patients with orthopedic conditions seeking outpatient treatment. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to individuals rehabilitating from surgical procedures. Our emphasis is on providing cost-effective treatments that prioritize physical rehabilitation while minimizing reliance on medications and invasive procedures.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) recognized by the state.
• Possess current licensure as a Physical Therapist with a clean record, free from any disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrate expertise in manual therapy techniques and physical modalities for patient rehabilitation.
• Show proficiency in developing and implementing exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience with EMR Software, particularly WebPT, is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• A proven track record working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Experience with managing complex patient cases and effective use of evidence-based practices in physical therapy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of varied backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits
