Work Environment

The setting of your practice will be our state-of-the-art outpatient office located in Demarest, NJ. This facility is equipped with modern therapy equipment, ensuring that both you and your patients have access to the resources necessary for effective rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their physical abilities, limitations, and specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement tailored rehabilitation protocols that may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to address pain and functional impairments.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, utilizing systems like WebPT to maintain accurate records and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment processes, exercises for at-home care, and strategies for preventing further injury.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to provide comprehensive and cohesive patient care.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices, new techniques, and innovations in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse patient populations, focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. Your work will directly impact the quality of life for patients ranging from athletes to older adults, each with unique needs and recovery goals. Understanding their backgrounds and customizing interventions will be essential to foster meaningful outcomes and encourage their engagement in the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license in good standing.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, preferably in outpatient orthopedic care.
• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, with familiarity in WebPT being a significant advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with patients recovering from post-surgical rehabilitation and sports-related injuries.
• Training or certification in specialized therapy techniques or modalities, such as McKenzie therapy or dry needling.
• Demonstrated ability to foster patient relationships and manage caseload effectively while ensuring optimal care.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary between $100,000 and $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skill level. In addition, benefit packages include:
