Work Environment

This full-time position requires working on-site within the home care setting, which provides a unique opportunity to deliver personalized therapy in familiar environments for patients. As part of our outpatient orthopedic clinic, you'll work a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our clinic is designed to facilitate optimal patient care, featuring advanced rehabilitation equipment and a supportive team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to establish patient baselines and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at addressing specific needs and goals.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and facilitate recovery while employing a patient-centered approach at all times.
• Guide patients through evidence-based strength and functional exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety during rehabilitation sessions.
• Regularly assess and modify therapy interventions based on ongoing evaluations and patient feedback to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to devise integrated approaches for complex cases.
• Educate patients and their families about injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies to ensure continued progress outside of sessions.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in our EMR system (WebPT preferred) to maintain up-to-date records essential for quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will cater to a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You'll work closely with each patient, understanding their unique challenges and motivations, to help them achieve their physical rehabilitation goals. Building a strong therapeutic relationship will be vital in fostering trust and encouraging patient engagement throughout the recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Current and active Physical Therapy license in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient settings is essential to ensure a high level of patient care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and improve workflow efficiency.

Preferred Experience

Experience specifically in orthopedic rehabilitation will be highly valued, allowing you to bring forth knowledge of effective treatment protocols and patient engagement strategies. Additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques (such as manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, etc.) would enhance your candidacy for this position.
