Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering therapeutic interventions according to the individualized care plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist (PT).
• Instruct patients on the proper execution of exercises and functional activities to ensure safety and facilitate recovery.
• Continuously monitor patient safety, progress, and technique throughout treatment sessions to adjust care as necessary.
• Document patient care and treatment progress accurately and promptly within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Maintain open communication with the supervising PT, reporting any changes in patient conditions or responses to treatment.
• Foster and uphold a positive, motivating atmosphere for patients from all walks of life, ensuring an engaging experience for rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with outpatient orthopedic patients, including post-surgical individuals, athletes, and active aging populations. This role involves assisting patients with a variety of conditions such as joint pain, sports injuries, and recovery from surgery, focusing on restoring functionality and preventing future injuries. Your compassionate care will help transform the rehabilitation experience for each patient, guiding them toward their personal health goals.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Jersey is required.
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities are essential.
• A passion for orthopedic rehabilitation and active patient engagement.
• A commitment to providing top-notch patient care in a busy outpatient environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a PTA in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, NetHealth, or Fusion, is advantageous.
• Interest in manual therapy techniques, performance training, or wellness program development.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including athletes and older adults, will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
