Work Environment

This role is situated in a vibrant outpatient office located in Paterson, NJ. Our physical therapy facility is well-equipped with advanced therapies and rehabilitation technologies. You will be part of a tight-knit team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), working collaboratively to deliver the highest standard of patient care. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting work-life balance for our staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify their specific objectives, needs, and functional limitations.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of specialized techniques tailored to each patient's situation.
• Efficiently manage a caseload of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring timely and thorough care.
• Empower patients by providing evidence-based interventions aimed at improving their mobility and functional abilities.
• Encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering motivation and a commitment to achieving health goals.
• Engage with other healthcare professionals for interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient care and treatment plans.
• Thoroughly document patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining open communication with patients regarding their progress.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices, focusing on enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and overall physical well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves a diverse patient demographic, predominantly consisting of individuals with private insurance. Patients range from athletes requiring rehabilitation from sports-related injuries to those recovering from orthopedic surgeries. Our approach emphasizes comprehensive treatment modalities that address their unique health challenges, ensuring their journey to recovery is personalized and effective.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this role.
• Certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in New Jersey is mandatory.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board complaints against your license.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques to ensure effective treatment and patient satisfaction.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as WebPT for efficient patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desired to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute personalized exercise regimens that promote patient recovery.
• Skills in motivational interviewing and patient counseling to support behavior change and adherence to therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
