Work Environment

This position is onsite at our rehabilitation center in Newark, NJ, providing a supportive and collaborative atmosphere where you will work alongside other physical therapists, healthcare providers, and administrative staff. The center is equipped with modern facilities and rehabilitation tools designed to aid in the recovery process. You will typically work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine while ensuring you can focus entirely on your patients during operational hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to establish patient needs, recognizing and fulfilling their individualized goals for recovery.
• Maintain a productive patient load, typically one patient per hour, ensuring each individual receives focused attention.
• Utilize your expertise to create and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address each patient's unique challenges, using a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Administer cost-effective physical therapies that enhance patients' range of motion and reduce their reliance on medication.
• Encourage active participation from clients in their recovery process, fostering motivation through educational and inspirational interactions.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, occupational therapists, and other rehabilitative specialists to ensure holistic care.
• Evaluate patient progress consistently, adapting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Accurately document all services and patient interactions in our EMR system (WebPT), ensuring compliance and continuity of care.
• Design and promote wellness programs to foster long-term physical health and injury prevention among patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries, including but not limited to joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your role is critical in helping these individuals regain mobility, improve strength, and enhance their overall quality of life through tailored treatment and support.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active license as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• No history of disciplinary actions on your professional license.
• Strong knowledge of manual therapy techniques and their practical applications.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing individualized exercise programs.
• Experience in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Familiarity with advanced therapeutic modalities and patient engagement techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
